Skillshare is a learning community for and by creators. Lessons are taught through a series of easy to digest video lessons which are sometimes accompanied by additional materials. Lessons will usually have at least one main assignment with smaller tasks that lead up to a finished product. Although not required, you can upload your projects and progress to an online community to get feedback and share your work as you go. I would recommend signing up for a Skillshare account. You can get access to thousands of online classes for as little as $8 a month.
Read MoreI haven't been updating my online shops as much as I should but I added a couple new designs to my Redbubble that I'm really excited about! I posted snippets and previews of my work in progress in my blog but I hadn't actually done anything with my designs yet. I did add a few phone cases to my Casetify shop, but I felt that I wanted to offer these lovelies on a wider range of products.

Working on paid work is great but has presented me with a conumdrum. I enjoy sharing my work via my blog and social media accounts, but with paid work you usually have to sign a confidentiality agreement (thus no real posts about such work).
Read MoreBird designs seem to be really hot right now and available in a wide variety of markets. I love looking at the different ways that artists depict birds, what styles and mediums they use, which species they choose to illustrate and what they end up using the illustrations for.
Read MoreI actually am juggling a few job related things (that I sadly cannot share) so I thought I'd share a personal project I'll be working on as time becomes available. I have always been attracted to surface and pattern design. Even when I was little, I believe I was unconciously drawn to print and pattern because I really enjoyed looking at lovely packaging, stationery and greeting cards. I used to hoard my favorite cards I received on birthdays and holidays in a box. I still do keep our kids cards now.
This personal project I'm creating is a surface design collection. I've taken a few Skillshare classes (list below) to help me learn and understand what it takes to get into surface design.
Read MoreIt's been a while since I uploaded anything new to my Redbubble shop. There are a bunch of things I'd like to upload and new work I'd like to add so there will be more updates in the future! These are the two new designs I've added to my shop:

I've finally fleshed out all the elements in Adobe Illustrator (CS6) and have moved everything into Photoshop. I really enjoy working in Photoshop because it's closer to working traditionally.
