New site and blog refresh!

I've been meaning to redesign my website and update my blog. For a while my blog was my website but I've decided to dedicate my "katuno.com" to my site and delegate my blog to its own space. I appreciate anyone who has taken the time to check my old blog (now found here) and I apologize that it had gone dormant/dead over the past couple years. A lot has happened since my last posts about Kira and her escapades. She is now 4 and attends preschool and we added a son to our family who just celebrated his first birthday last month. Life has been busy! Since my last writing I've also changed jobs twice.  Although stressful, I do not regret the decisions I've made because I feel that each step has allowed me to grow in one way or another.

I hope that I can keep this new blog fresh. I've been so inspired by so many lovely things I've seen on Pinterest (you can view my pins here). I've been sketching a lot more and I hope to transfer some of my designs to digital sooner or later. There are so many things I would love to do with my art (licensing, publishing, printing etc) and I am hoping that one day these dreams will become a reality.

I have a Facebook page and also a twitter feed (@katdesigns). I'm also going to start uploading stuff to my flickr account again too (I'll announce that when it's finally up). I'm a rather shy person so I apologize if I don't divulge too much about myself but feel free to comment or email if you ever have any questions. I'm very happy to share my processes and techniques but unfortunately I won't have time to create tutorials. Perhaps I'll be able to upload some progress shots (if I remember to create them!).  I hope that whoever reads this blog will find some joy in it. Over the years I've enjoyed reading and following and finding so much inspiration in the blogs of other generous authors and hope that I may too contribute in any small way.
