Net Picks - More Holiday Cuties
I'm sure most people enjoy this time of year, or at least the fun aspects. I have to admit that the "magic" of the holiday seasons has diminished some as I've grown older and have had kids. It almost feels like passing on the torch to the little ones and now we adults have to deal with the cleaning, shopping, waiting in line, mountains of bills, wrapping and mess of the holidays. Although there is a lot of stress associated with this time of year, there is also a plethora of wonderful designs! There is just something so unique about this time of year when cute creatures in their winterwear emerge, trees are decorated festively and cool palettes with pops of warm brights turn up in a lot of designwork.
This week I'm continuing with the cute and festive creatures I've found on Pinterest.
- Bethan Janine - Her style is just so identifiable. The delicate lines coupled with the sweet color combinations and the wonderful depictions of animals. I love how Bethan uses very delicate lines and patterns to add subtle but very eye catching details to her work.
- Katie Vernon - A recent Special Studio Award Winner in Lilla Roger's Global Talent Search, Katie's work is such a visual treat. I often go on and on about how I admire traditional artists and I hope Katie's work proves why! I love how she uses the grey neutrals with the richer jewel tones.
- Miriam Bos - I love how Miriam packs so much detail into her work without making it look overworked or cluttered. The creatures and characters in all her work are always so adorable and this cute owl is no exception!
- COCO Gigi- I recently discovered Gina (aka Gigi) on Facebook. Her adorable work with the lovely color combinations caught my eye instantly. It's actually really refreshing to discover something new considering the amount of time I have spent over the years on Pinterest.
