Kira Kira
kira, life, photography
It’s hard to believe we’ve been living here for almost two months already! Our house definitely feels like our home. Even more unbelievable is that Kira is now 9 months. She is a healthy lovable baby who enjoys playing, laughing and talking (well baby talk).
One of the things I had to get used to, living here, is the lack of land. I’m from Maui, namely the “country” part of Maui, and I grew up with a huge yard and lots of fields to run around and play in. Our house luckily has a yard but not much of one. It will do for now, just a nice safe place for Kira to play, but I can’t help feeling a lack knowing what I grew up with.
Kira is a trooper though. She doesn’t let a silly thing like a small yard ruin her day. She can’t walk yet but she’s content to sit and enjoy the grass.
Hopefully you all don’t mind posts with baby pics because that might be all I’m able to post for a while. Work and Kira keeps me very busy and I’m lucky to find a whole hour to myself nowadays. It’s all worth it though. Every night before I go to sleep I reflect on how lucky I am to have a happy family and our own house.
